Our Quality Hardwoods, Every Board is Hand Selected: I personally hand select each and every piece of wood for the furniture I build. Each piece or furniture is usually crafted in hardwood from the same tree to assure that the grain and color match as close as possible. We use wide grain matched boards for table tops, panels, drawers and casework which sets our furniture apart from even the finest US furniture manufacturers. Conversely,mass produced furniture companies use many narrow strips, which are generally unmatched, to glue up tops, panels and case sides.
Local Sustainable Hardwoods, our Specialty: Our Walnut, Cherry, Maple and Ash furniture is crafted from hand selected boards that come from very large and old trees that have suffered storm damage or have "passed on" by other means. The colors, grain, texture and quality of the urban and rural sustainable hardwoods is simply amazing and is not found in any mass produced furniture. By hand selecting hardwoods, tops are grain matched and often book-matched while the color and texture is always consistent as each piece of furniture is made from the same tree. If you have never seen a book-matched figured Walnut or Cherry slab table top, you are missing out on the very best of natures artwork.
The Foundation of Quality Furniture, the Joinery: We use the proven techniques of traditional furniture makers such as dovetail and mortise and tenon joinery among others proven methods. These joinery techniques have been used for many centuries and they are the foundation of quality heirloom furniture. Our finely crafted dovetailed drawers employ handcrafted wooded runners that ensure perfect operation for generations to come. Our furniture is guaranteed for a lifetime because it will last a lifetime, in fact, our furniture will be passed down by generations that are not as yet born.
Solid Hardwood Furniture Construction: We use only the finest solid hardwood in all of the fine furniture that we make. Solid Hardwood furniture will stand the test of time, move with the seasons and grow even more beautiful with age. Hardwood furniture resists damages and can be repaired very easily if scratches and dents do occur. We do not use commercial plywood, MDF or particle board in our fine heirloom quality furniture. The paper thin veneers on these products are easily chipped, can never be sanded and the substrate itself has a very limited lifespan. For tables, beds, casework, entertainment centers and other fine furniture, true value lies in solid hardwood furniture that will become a cherished family heirloom rather than landfill material after a few years.

Since each piece is handcrafted one at a time, there is much interaction before, during and after the furniture is handcrafted. Being a locally based craftsman allows us to adapt designs, sizes and the utility of our furniture designs to a clients wishes. A large majority of our clients are repeat customers who have several pieces of our furniture in different designs and hardwoods.
Delivery and Shipping: Although each piece of furniture is handcrafted one at a time, and often custom made, we have been able to keep our turn around times quite reasonable. Delivery times are dependent on many factors such as the quantity of pieces ordered, the complexity of the piece ordered and current lead time. Lead time can vary between 4 to 12 weeks with 6-8 weeks being average on most furniture orders. Please inquire. Note: Furniture quality and longevity is directly related to the time spent in design, in the craftsmanship and in the finishing.

We ship furniture by express carriers, blanket wrapped delivery and common carrier as well.
