A bit about the massive 40" x 120" Black Walnut live edge slab table we handcrafted for the Kendall Jackson Winery headquarters.
The Story of a Substantial Live Edge Walnut Table with Custom Steel Plate Legs
We recently completed and shipped this live edge Black Walnut book-matched dining - conference table to the Kendall Jackson Winery headquarters in Santa Rosa, California. This table was special due to its size but also from the wonderful bookmatch of two sequential rescued Black Walnut slabs. The top measured 38" to 40" wide by 120" long and is from a wonderful set of slabs taken from an Indiana sourced storm downed Walnut. The kiln dried slab top features a perfect glue joint and sits atop substantial custom made steel plate legs.
The legs were made from .5" steel plate stock with a half inch reveal and are painted flat black. Each leg weighed in at over 100lbs which made for a heavy and solid table that will endure.
This table was shipped via our white glove delivery partner to Santa Rosa, California along with a stunning bar top which came from the same Black Walnut tree. Both table and top have been installed in the Jackson Family Winery's corporate headquarters and we are happy to report that these pieces have been very well received.
