Furniture Lead Times, Work-flow and Our Insistence on Quality

Although each table, top and piece of furniture is handcrafted one at a time, and often with custom dimensions, we have been able to keep our turnaround times quite reasonable. Delivery times are dependent on many factors such as the quantity of pieces ordered, the complexity of the piece ordered, and current workflow. Lead times can vary between 4 to 13 weeks with 7-9 weeks being average on most orders. Tables, custom hardwood tops and finished Live Edge Slabs are often completed before times frames listed above unless custom steel legs are required. Please feel free to email us to inquire about our current workflow and lead times. Note: Furniture quality and longevity is directly related to the time spent in design, in the hardwood selection, in the craftsmanship and in the finishing. We do not usually consider rush jobs as we have a organizational commitment that demands that only furniture of superb quality is allowed to leave our shop. We also reserve the right to refuse projects where we feel any design element may shorten the lifespan of any piece. We will not take shortcuts or make anything that we do not feel will endure generations and any offered price.

Shipping Our Furniture - National Freight Shipping and Inside Delivery

We ship furniture using our freight shipping and logistics partners. At least fifty percent of our work flow is shipped from new and repeat clients located all over the USA. Making sure your furniture arrives in perfect shape is another important step in our business, so we make sure it is packed properly. We build custom wooden crates for our shipped furniture, wrap the piece and pad the furniture with foam products to ensure a tightly packed crate that keeps the furniture secure within the crate and protects it from exterior forces. Our shipping and logistics companies have done an excellent job for us and our clients in safely delivering our tables and tops to our clients from Maine to Florida to California and many points in between.

Note: Due to the global pandemic, all white glove delivery options have been discontinued. We do offer national inside delivery however with the client being responsible any final assembly and uncrating. Our crating is complimentary and we charge actual shipping charges beyond that. Shipping and packaging may not necessarily be inexpensive, but the last thing anyone needs is for heirloom quality fine furniture to be manhandled and damaged. For shipped furniture, our terms are 50% as a down payment at time of commission with the balance and all shipping costs paid at completion and before actual shipping occurs. Feel free to contact us for a shipping quote on any piece you have an interest in.

Shipping Times: Shipping timeframes are dependent upon service provider and the level of service requested. We make no guarantee for any delivery date for freight shipment. Any delivery window or appointment will be set up by the client directly with the carrier, freight company or delivery service provider. We can and will assist in expediting deliveries though timing of deliveries is not within our power. Again, we cannot, in any case, guarantee any delivery date for freight shipping and delivery.

Our Woodshop, Hardwood Store and Furniture Gallery

Our well-equipped workshop features many large industrial quality machines that have been purchased from well-known furniture makers who have moved their manufacturing operations overseas. We have table saws, planers, jointers and sanders that are expected in a production facility like ours. These heavy, professional and industrial machines are tools that assist us in making quality American Made furniture. Our select hardwood lumber and rough live edge slabs are offered through our retail hardwood store, Great Spirit Hardwoods, conveniently connected to our woodshop. Our furniture is shown in the adjacent Furniture and Decor Showroom within The Spiritcraft Furniture Showroom in beautiful downtown East Dundee, Illinois.

We do, however, stand behind our craftsmanship and will make every effort to see that our clients are satisfied through solutions provided and chosen at our sole discretion and upon written consent. If, however, there are any non-finish related structural issues that absolutely require a replacement top or table we will replace the table or top after having received and inspected the table or top that is to be replaced. For any non-structural issue including finish: No exchange and or replacement will be allowed without our written consent and agreement, and return shipping or transport is the responsibility of the purchaser for any non-structural or finish related issue. If however, at our sole discretion, a refund is agreed to in writing, a 20% restocking fee will be assessed for standard size hardwood and live edge tables unless they have been modified or custom cut for angles and/or data grommets. Tables that were custom modified as noted above will be subject to a 40% restocking fee if a return and refund is authorized by us in writing. Attempted chargeback efforts and/or a stop payment of a check that disregards our policies will be considered attempted theft.

Shipping and Delivery Timing and Storage Fee Policy

If you are expecting a delay or will not be able to receive your table on the estimated delivery date please let us know. We will do everything we can to work with your schedule. If we are made aware of this delay before we begin work on your project we will be able to change the estimated completion date to match your new completion date. In the event that you need to push back the delivery date after completion of your project, a storage fee will incur. Storage fees are dependent on many different variables, including project size, length of storage, current workflow and current capacity in our storage space. The remaining balance as well as all applicable storage fees must be paid in order to be able to store your table.

Payment and Terms

Payment for Services: All deposits are non-refundable. For any shipped items, we require the full balance to be paid prior to shipment. For local deliveries, payment is to be made at the time of delivery.

Addressing Shipping Damage and Our Policy on Approved Finishes and Refinishing

With shipping and/or delivery there is always a slight chance of damage. Most often slight shipping damage is an easy repair and can be addressed in many ways that again, are at our sole discretion. For more serious shipping damage, a claim must be filed with the shipping company in question. We will require full cooperation from our client in order to successfully submit a claim. This may involve a statement but will absolutely require images of any damage. That said, damage is a rare and usually very minor occurrence, and can most often be addressed easily and painlessly. With regard to any finish related issue or damage, please note that the finish is a very minor part of the overall value of a table or top even though our heirloom quality finish is unrivaled. Finish issues can be fixed easily and our proprietary finish system allows for repairs that can be undertaken by a novice. Easy fixes to finish issues such as color, scratches and even dents that may occur at a later date are simple to address. The value of your top and/or table is in the craftsmanship and the solid hardwood. Finishes that are applied without consulting us or applied by a third party without our approval will void our warranty of the table and / or top. We have dedicated years to develop an easy maintenance, durable and ring free finish that is of heirloom quality and strongly advice against doing anything not sanctioned by us in regard to finish and finishing. Please avoid ruining your table top with the use of a non-approved finish as we are here to help in that regard.
